Technology students will learn about:* Engineering, *Computer Assisted Design, * Electronic Publishing, * Internet and CD Rom research techniques and * Architecture and Construction.

Students will build models, design floor plans and apartment layouts, program robots, and use digital cameras and scanners to captures images. Students also explore the most promising technology careers.

 

Career professionals assist student with projects in the class. Mentors related class-room learning with real-world experiences students also tour high tech enterprises in the area and learn about future career opportunities.

 

The World of technology is an activity based course which will provide experiences in the application of technology, and an understanding of its impact on each student and their future. Career mentors participate in the class activities and discuss career opportunities with the students. Each student participates in projects that use computers, tools and materials to apply the design process in real world problem solving. Career exporation includes field trips.
