KENNEDY RULES AND REGULATIONS

Good citizenship is as important as good scholarship, and a record of good conduct is within the reach of all. Conformance to reasonable rules, right conduct, respect for authority, adherence to moral principles, and a spirit of co-operation and loyalty are curriculum areas in which any student can earn a record of distinction.
Tardy Pupils are considered tardy if not in homeroom when the 7:20AM bell rings. Tardy students must enter through the main lobby and report to the Tardy center. Students will not be admitted to Kennedy High School after 8:00 A.M. UNLESS
"Excused absence"
 

SMOKING Smoking is prohibited in all public school buildings and on all public school grounds.

ELECTRONICS Use of special equipment such as cell phones, two-way pagers,radios, beepers, tape and CD players, etc., during school hours is not permitted

DRESS CODE
Acceptable Attire:
	Bottoms:  All high school boys and girls must wear dress pants, worn belted at the natural waist.
 	  All bottoms (including jumpers skirts, dresses, shorts, pants, and skorts) must be SOLID  Navy Blue, Black, Gray or Khaki.
	  Girls dresses, skirts, jumpers shorts and skorts are to be knee length.

	Tops:  All high school boys and girls must wear collared shirts, which are to be buttoned a minimum of three (3) buttons.
		Only a sweater may be worn over the shirt and the collar is to be visible.
		The tops include blouses, dress shirts, oxford, polo turtleneck, or sweater style with short or long sleeves and with a COLLAR
			which may be of any appropriate and tasteful design, pattern or color.  
		Shirts are not allowed to be either oversized nor too short or form fitting.
		Girls tops must be worn at or below the waistline when both hands are raised above the head.
		No cleavage nor bare waist shoud be displayed.

Prohibited Attire:
	Pants, shorts, jumpers, skirts, dreasses or skorts of sweat, spandex, velour or any jean/denim material.
	Tank tops, tee shirts, undershirts or underpants worn as outer garments, halter tops, tube tops, bare midriffs, transparent clothing,
		hooded shirts and clothing with plunging necklines (front or back).
	Clothes which are torn, ragged or have holes.
	Skirts, shorts, dresses, and jumpers shorter than knee length.
	Outer coats, windbreakers, hoodies, or any article of clothing that covers any part of the face and/or head including but not limited to
		hats, visors, scarves, earmuffs, headbands, do-rags, bandannas, curlers, goggles and sunglasses.
	Beepers, walkman-type players, cell phones, laser pens, games and other types of electronic devices which are not prescribed for
		instructional purposes.
	Footwear which causes noisy distraction or which is unsafe or a health hazard including but not limited to flip-flops, sandals,
		and all open-toed shoes.
	Jewelry or chains of any kind that could be dangerous.
	Clothing or items indicating current gang affiliation or colors.
