The Mind

 

Students in Grade 11 study a comprehensive unit based on the PBS television series The Mind. Topics include development, aging, addiction, pain & healing, depression, language, thinking, and the violent mind. Each video is supplemented with current research. Students participate in group activities and select individual activities to pursue areas of interest. The individual activities incorporate information with a variety of formats which accommodate and/or flex the student's learning styles. The final products are presented to the group for evaluation.
